Service
Weld Mesh Fencing
Weld mesh is the perimeter a facilities manager buys when the site is already covered by cameras. The narrow apertures give nothing to a boot or a finger, and the fence stays transparent so a guard or a camera can see a person approaching the line rather than only the top of a head. We survey, write the mesh profile and post centres down, then install without leaving a section open overnight.

What's included
- 358 mesh with 76.2mm x 12.7mm apertures, the standard anti-climb specification
- Twin wire 868 and 656 panels where budget matters more than tool resistance
- Heights from 1.8m to 3.0m with mesh returns or rotating toppings
- Post options: RHS bolt down for hardstanding, concrete set for soft ground
- Powder coated RAL 6005 green or RAL 9005 black over hot dip galvanising
- £5m public liability and £10m employers liability, RAMS issued before mobilisation
Our process
- 01
Threat and sightline survey
We walk the line with your site contact and record where cameras need to see through and where a solid barrier would create a blind spot.
- 02
Mesh specification
Profile, aperture, wire gauge, height, post section and fixing type written into the quote, not decided on the van.
- 03
Compliance pack
RAMS, insurance certificates, CSCS records and a phasing plan issued to your FM or principal contractor.
- 04
Foundations
Bolt down bases on existing slab, or concrete set posts augered and hand dug where services run close to the line.
- 05
Panels, clamps and handover
Panels clamped with shear nut fixings, toppings fitted, then a joint walk round and a written guarantee.

Why us
30+ years on the tools across Surrey & Hampshire. Family-run, fully insured, no subcontracted crews.
Local factors we plan around
- distribution and trade units around Farnborough where 358 mesh sits behind camera coverage and cannot obstruct the lens
- school perimeters that need a 2.4m mesh line with no foothold and a softer visual than palisade
- substation and utility compounds where post holes are hand dug because cabling runs close to the boundary
- car parks with a full concrete slab where bolt down bases avoid breaking out the surface
- sloping industrial boundaries where mesh panels rake with the ground instead of stepping
Frequently asked questions
- What actually makes 358 mesh anti-climb?
- The aperture. At 76.2mm by 12.7mm there is no gap wide enough to take the toe of a boot or get a proper grip with gloved fingers, so the fence has to be attacked with tools rather than climbed. Standard twin wire panels have far larger openings and can be climbed by a determined person in seconds.
- Will mesh fencing block our CCTV?
- No, and that is usually why sites choose it. Mesh keeps the whole approach visible, so a camera picks up someone walking the perimeter rather than only catching them once they are over it. Solid palisade and acoustic barriers create the opposite problem.
- Can panels be bolted down onto existing concrete?
- Yes, where the slab is sound and thick enough to take resin anchors. Bolt down is faster, avoids breaking out hardstanding and suits car parks and yards where you cannot lose the surface. On soft ground or high risk lines we concrete set the posts instead.
- What insurance and paperwork do you provide before starting?
- £5m public liability and £10m employers liability certificates, task specific RAMS, and CSCS records for the fitters attending. This is the pack most facilities managers ask for before an induction is booked.
- What does weld mesh cost per metre?
- Most commercial mesh runs land between £95 and £165 per metre fitted depending on height, mesh profile and whether posts are bolted or concrete set. Gates are priced separately from £1,800.
- Can you match an existing mesh line we already have?
- Usually yes. Send a photo of a panel end and a post, and the panel height. Mesh systems are widely compatible and we can match colour, height and post section so an extension does not read as a patch.
