Pavement & Patio Repairs

When the existing drive, path or patio mostly works but a section has failed, we'd rather repair than upsell a full rebuild - re-jointing, re-levelling, patching and repointing done properly.

Pavement & Patio Repairs project by Knightscapes

What's included

  • Tarmac pothole and edge patches
  • Block paving re-jointing and re-laying of sunken sections
  • Slab re-levelling on shifted patios and paths
  • Repointing on flagstone and natural-stone paving
  • Trip-hazard pavement repairs on shared frontages
  • Sub-base rebuilds where surface repair alone won't last

Our process

  1. 01

    Inspection

We diagnose whether the issue is surface, joint or sub-base.

  2. 02

    Honest quote

Repair where it makes sense; we'll say if a rebuild is the better long-term spend.

  3. 03

    Lift

Affected area lifted carefully, salvaged units stored.

  4. 04

    Rebuild

Sub-base reinstated, units relaid, joints brushed in.

  5. 05

    Finish

Surrounding area cleaned and any matching repairs flagged.

Why us

30+ years on the tools across Surrey & Hampshire. Family-run, fully insured, no subcontracted crews.

Local factors we plan around

  • older terraces with narrow shared frontages where the trip hazard is on the highway boundary
  • block-paved drives where joint sand has washed out and weeds have lifted the surface
  • shifted patio slabs over thin sand beds that need a proper mortar relay
  • tarmac edges where the original installer skipped the kerb restraint and the apron is crumbling

Frequently asked questions

What's the smallest job you'll take?
We'll take repointing or patching jobs from around £350 if we're already in the area - we cluster small visits to keep travel low.
Can you match the original blocks or slabs?
Usually - if the original supplier is still trading we'll source matching units; if not we'll lift hidden units (e.g. under bins) and use them in the visible repair.
Why has my driveway sunk in one spot?
Almost always the sub-base under that area was thin, or a drainage gully has failed. We dig down to the cause rather than just lifting and re-laying the surface.
Will the repair show?
Re-jointed and re-laid block paving usually blends after the first weather cycle. Tarmac patches show as a tonal difference for the first 6-12 months before they weather in.
